Mr. Athanasios Episkopos is a professor in the Department of Accounting and Finance at the Athens University of Economics and Business. He studied economics at the State University of New York (SUNY)-Buffalo, USA, where he received his master's and doctoral degrees (M.A. and Ph.D. in 1989 and 1992, respectively), as well as business administration at Roosevelt University, USA, where he received his MBA (1987). He also holds a degree in mathematics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (1983). He has taught at various universities in the USA and Greece, and his research work has been published in journals such as the Journal of Banking and Finance and Economics Letters.
