Associate Professor Dr. Dr. Aikaterini Kokkinou holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Glasgow, United Kingdom, a Ph.D. in Geography from the University of Aegean, a first-class Master of Science in Business Analysis and Finance from the University of Leicester, a first-class Graduate Degree in Economic Sciences from the University of Crete, as well as a first-class Graduate Degree in Public Administration from the National School of Public Administration, Greece. Assoc. Prof. Aikaterini Kokkinou has also completed her Post-Doctoral research in the Economic Geography, Regional Development and Territorial Planning Laboratory, at the Department of Geography, University of the Aegean.

Currently, Aikaterini Kokkinou is an Associate Professor at the Hellenic Military Academy and her specialisation covers areas of economics, such as Enterprise Resource Management, Logistics Management, International Economics, and Public Economics, among others.

During her career, Aikaterini Kokkinou has acquired a solid background in the fields of economic growth and development, economics of innovation, productivity and efficiency analysis, entrepreneurship, enterprise resource management, regional growth, F.D.I. activities, competitiveness, convergence and European Union economics. She has also collaborated in research projects, has presented her work in a number of international conferences and has published in established international journals, e.g.  European Research Studies Journal, Management & Marketing, The Journal of World Economic Review, Cyprus Journal of Sciences, European Spatial Research And Policy, and International Journal of Economic Research. Moreover, she has published in books by Edward-Elgar, Springer, SA, IGI Global, Nova Publishers and Women’s Press publications, along with research papers, e.g. by UNTC Occasional Papers Series.
